What is VW Radio Codes?

An automated, high-precision retrieval portal for factory radio unlock codes, engineered for VW vehicle owners requiring instant diagnostics and factory-grade solutions.

Turn the radio on and wait for SAFE to clear and 1000 to show. Use preset buttons 1 to 4 to set each digit of your code, then press and hold the right arrow (or SCAN / ENTER on touchscreen units) until the radio unlocks.

Which radio does my VW Polo have?

The VW Polo 9N, 6R and 6C (2002–2017) was fitted with the Gamma, Delphi, RCD 200, RCD 210, RCD 310, RNS 310, Composition Media. The model name is printed on the front of the radio, and your serial number tells us exactly which unit it is.

What does a VW Polo radio serial look like?

It is 14 characters long and starts with VWZ, for example VWZ1Z2H1234567. You'll find it on the sticker on the radio casing.

Why does my VW Polo radio say SAFE?

SAFE means the anti-theft lock is active because the radio lost power, for example after a flat battery or battery change. If SAFE stays on the screen after wrong attempts, leave the radio powered on for about an hour and it will reset.

Will my code still work after a battery change?

Yes. The code belongs to the radio unit and never changes. Keep it with your car documents and you can reuse it any time the battery is disconnected.

Can I get the code from my VIN?

No. Volkswagen radio codes are tied to the radio serial number, not the vehicle VIN. You'll need to read the serial from the radio label.

What if my code does not work?

Double-check the serial, especially the letter I versus the number 1. If the serial is correct and the code still fails, contact us and we will recheck it free or refund you in full.

How to find your VW Polo serial number

Follow these steps to locate the serial on your Volkswagen radio.

Step 1

Step 2
